PhotobucketWhat happens when you get a group of angry and grieved women and mothers together for a worthy cause? You end up with a savvy organization like "Mothers for Justice and Equality" fighting for their children's safety. Our special guests Sarah Flint and Monalisa Smith know about this journey first hand. Co-founders of this new organization, Sarah's 15 year old son was stabbed to death years ago, yet her feelings are as fresh as that fateful day in 1981. She has been advocating for change and crime prevention ever since. Boston's banking executive Monalisa Smith is new to this space. Her 18 year old nephew was shot to death last fall. This created the catalyst for Monalisa to bring mothers of murdered children together for advocacy and civic engagement about issues NO parent wants to experience first hand. This is an important Women's History Month program you NEED to hear.
