Melinda Rae Interviews Anea Bogue

Anea Bogue’s greatest passion is to see girls and women recognize the power they hold in their minds, bodies and spirits.

Anea believes,"If the adolescent girl were guided to recognize, celebrate and live the power that grows exponentially inside her as she enters womanhood and with each year that passes, she would likely give herself permission to honor that power, honor the journey she is on and most importantly, honor herself."

Most recently, Anea and her friend and business partner, Shelli Wright, are on a mission to improve the relationship girls and women have with their bodies… one tampon at a time.

But Anea and Shelli think differently. “At the most basic level, the menstrual cycle allows for the continuation of our species. Beyond that, it enables a woman to tap into her many and varied strengths. Why should anyone be embarrassed about that? When girls and women understand their cycle as a powerful force of nature, they begin to see themselves as the valuable, important beings they are,” says Anea Bogue, M.A., an expert with over twenty years of experience in the field of girls’ and women’s self-esteem and empowerment.
