gods vs. "G"od vs. The God ...... Who has more control of our reality?

Webster's Definition of a god is one that controls a particular aspect of reality. With so many interpretations of god in our lives, how do we determine how much control god/"G"od/The God should have in our lives? In terms of my book: 1) god = other people, places or things we let control our reality 2) "G"od = the potential within us to control our reality 3) The God = The Supernatural Supreme Being (often used in religious context) many perceive to exist that others don't.
