We will discuss the implications of the Financial Crisis on individuals, goverment and businesses; the urgency to re-think our values as human beings and what we can do change our society.
Malcolm Prowle is Professor of Business Performance at Nottingham Business School and a Visiting Professor at the Open University Business School. He is an internationally acknowledged expert on the economics, finance and management of the public sector and has worked at the highest levels of government and has advised Ministers, Ambassadors, senior civil servants, public service managers and service professionals on a variety of issues. He has also been: financial adviser to the House of Commons Health Select Committee, an adviser to two shadow ministers and a consultant to the World Health Organisation.
He has written six books and numerous research reports and journal articles. His most recent book, published by Palgrave McMillan, is entitled “Public Services and Financial Austerity: Getting out of the hole” and discusses the impact of the current financial and economic crisis on public services and the societies they serve.
