The Unwelcomed Child

It’s Christmas time, and everywhere around us, people are preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus. But for some, it won’t be a simple time of celebration. Because in nearly every town and city in America, someone is facing the decision to accept or reject a pregnancy. For some women, the decision to abort the child will be no big deal. For others, this decision will lead to depression and an unshakable sense of guilt. Many of the unwelcomed children will never be given the opportunity to live out their life. Others will enter the world, but struggle with the insecurity, shame, and loneliness that come from experiencing rejection by their “birth” parents. In today’s program, we reach out to these women and their unwelcomed children and offer a perspective that can lead them out of apathy or despair, and guide them back to the path that God intended for each of them.
