Carolyn Baker: Speaking Truth to Power

Carolyn Baker's writing - first Sacred Demise: Walking The Spiritual Path of Industrial Civilization's Collapse and then Navigating The Coming Chaos: A Handbook for Inner Transition - had such a profound impact on my own writing around collapse, that I jumped on an airplane and flew to the West Coast to take a workshop from her. I've never regretted that decision.

Carolyn owns and manages the website Speaking Truth To Power and she has never, as far as I can tell, shied away from that responsibility. Speaking Tuth to Power is "dedicated to up-to-the moment reporting of unprecedented transitions in economics, energy, and the environment, as well as options for navigating those changes. It is intended to be a venue of support and connection for awake individuals who want not only to be informed, but to organize their lives and communities in ways that most effectively assist them in navigating what current events are manifesting."

What I think Carolyn does better than anyone else - myself included - is not only to work with the physical aspects of Collapse, but also work with the Emotional and Spiritual aspects of Collapse...something very few people do.
