Charlie hails from West Texas, but has made Austin his home for years. Charlie's got big ideas and a bigger heart. He single handedly tried to save the Pearl brewery from corporate takeover. I've received post cards from nudist colonies out in the California desert, as well as traveled the icy Minnesota winters with him. He's a ramblin' man with his fair share of interests. In fact, Charlie just may go on to become the most famous movie extra never known, with roles in many films (including double roles in the Alamo as a Texan and a Mexican. He died twice.).......... He's now anchored down with a wife and son. Little Memphis has already learned "the Stroll" and can be seen dancin' it at the Stollers gigs (Charlie's band for kids). In fact, Charlie has retired from his post as the engineer of the Zilker Zephyr to take on both the Hecklers and the Strollers, (and to show up on the big screen now and again). The Hecklers include James "Elmo" Sproat, who gained his funky rep in Austin playing w/ Jesse Dayton. There's Francis "Psycho" Mougne on lead guitar, who plays a mean banjo, as well. Francis cut his teeth in the Bluegrass scene out in northern California. And to round it out, there's none other than Darrell "my other brother" Moran on drums. Darrell made a name for himself (for better or worse) playing in Endochine. Charlie used to hit the road w/ those guys and some good songs have come out of those days. Anyone remember the chords to Bel-Air Motel?....Good luck amigos.
