An architect always on the leading edge, Bill Reed, was one of the creators of the LEED rating system for green building design. However, he says, those systems that encourage sustainability are not nearly enough! Sustainability is simply a way to do less harm. How, instead, can we do good—restore, regenerate, promote the health and healing of the land and the beings that inhabit her—ALL living systems? Bill now designs very few buildings; rather, as an international speaker and consultant, he is committed to educating people about ways to change their mind and will toward a regenerative approach.
Bill works with a wonderful group of pioneers, called Regenesis Group, who recognize that we take care of our home, our “here.” Bill will help us ask, what is your “here”? (Here at Gaiafield Radio, we hope it includes the totality of Gaia!) Bill has inspiring stories to show that there is hope—it is possible to turn things around, to make a real, positive difference, starting with your place, your “here.”
Tune into GAIAFIELD Radio as introduce our new co-host Lisa Maroski and her guest, Bill Reed is co-author of The Integrative Design Guide to Green Building: Redefining the Practice of Sustainability
