John Rosenthal joins us on Freedom Radio to discuss his book, The Jihadist Plot; The Untold Story of Al-Qaeda and the Libyan Rebellion. In it, he describes how the Obama administration and NATO “changed sides in the War on Terror” in Libya.

Mr. Rosenthal documents the clear evidence of top rebel leaders who trained with and fought alongside al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Iraq, had ties to the Madrid train bombings and both the fertilizer plot and London subway bombings, and had been detained by the U.S. “Indeed, there is strong reason to believe that Ansar al-Sharia is not so much a distinct militia as a movement cutting across virtually all the Eastern Libya militias, including Libya Shield.”

John Rosenthal is a European-based journalist and political analyst who specializes in EU politics and transatlantic security issues. He has been a regular contributor to National Review Online, Policy Review magazine, The Weekly Standard, World Affairs journal, and leading European publications.

Note: ‘The Jihadist Plot; The Untold Story of Al-Qaeda and the Libyan Rebellion’ is now on sale at Amazon on Kindle, Barnes & Noble on Nook, and the iTune store. The paperback version will be available in early April.
