"What happens when a mother divorces her abusive husband? "Motherless America: Confronting Welfare's Fatherhood Custody Program" six memoir chapters answer the question in a raw tale of corruption and cover-up. Three protagonists, a lawyer, a psychologist and a judge, collude to eliminate mother from the children's lives by calling her mentally ill, jailing, depriving her of financial resources and the ability to educate and improve herself. Under dire circumstances, Doreen plows forward, learns the law, only to discover and investigate the government program that funds father's abuse." Author Doreen Ludwig shares her story and cause in the first segment of the show. For more information on Doreen, visit http://www.maccabuse.org/.

Author Sandra Lee joins us in our later segment to discuss her book, Father, Forgive My Father. Sandra opens up and shares her personal story on being abused as a child. She also disusses how she overcame and what it took for her to finally forgive. She speaks on why it she decided to write about somethin so personal:

“Why would you put yourself through that all over again?”  I tell them that it was a promise that I had to fulfill; I was driven by that promise to:  1) inform the general public of a serious social problem of epidemic proportion; 2) help the victims of sexual child abuse better cope with their problems through Christian principles and methods, assuring them that they are not alone in their struggles, 3) bring the perpetrators to a realization of what they are doing; why they are doing it; leading them to seek help and forgiveness, and 4) lead the victim through steps to total healing through forgiveness.
