The teenage years have been known to be tumultuous, at best. It’s a time of changes to your body; puberty and growth spurts, and hormones. What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you ever look at your body with disgust thinking you are too fat, ugly, awkward, or just not good enough? If you are a teenage girl, it’s likely you hate your body.

In this episode McKenna, (a junior in high school), shares her struggles with body image and loving herself. McKenna gets real and shares her self-destructive thoughts, how she limited her eating, and ultimately sank into depression. McKenna shares the amazing transformation she made through creatively expressing her feelings, challenging her thoughts, rejecting toxic media messages, and focusing on her health and strengths. She learned she didn’t need to change anything to love herself just the way she is.

“My thoughts do not define me.”

“I am Perfect Just the Way that I am.” -McKenna, 16
