As a victim of bullying, Jessica Brookshire had a childhood marked by low self esteem and a constant struggle for acceptance from her peers.
But despite those who were determined to bring her down, KARMA founder Jessica Brookshire blossomed into a woman with a vision, and the strength to get things done. As a former victim, Ms. Brookshire is able to relate to students and parents alike. And now she’s on a mission to end bullying once and for all.
Today Ms. Brookshire is a nationally recognized expert on bullying. She founded the organization K.A.R.M.A., Kids Against Ridicule, Meanness and Aggression, in 2009 to help combat bullying in schools across the nation.
Join us on Thursday, August 9 when fitsmi host Abby Ellin speaks with Ms. Brookshire about her incredible transformation from victim to activist and about the important work she’s now doing. Tune in at 3:30 pm EST!
