How does loving yourself just as you are right now lead to the very best self-care?  Connie Sobczak, Executive Director of the nonprofit, The Body Positive, is joining us on fitsmi radio to talk it through.  It's going to get personal, girls, so get ready for a bold discussion of things that matter to you.  Questions like, 'what is self-care,’ ‘what does my body deserve,’ and 'what's the difference between self-care and instant gratification?’  Plus, you won't want to miss Ms. Sobczak’s specific tips for how teen girls can treat themselves better today.

The Body Positive writes on it’s website, “True self-love, which includes all parts of your Self (even your body!), allows for the very best self-care possible. If you truly LOVE your body, you care for it by moving it regularly and feeding it foods that allow you to thrive. Loving your body means honoring the need for rest and rejuvenation. It means honoring when you get out of balance. Loving your body means forgiving yourself for times when your self-care suffers, and choosing in the moment (without guilt!) to change your eating and exercise behaviors to be more life-sustaining. It means listening on the deepest level possible to what your body needs in order to be healthy in the very best possible sense of the word.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.  Join us on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 pm EST for what will be an unforgettable show.
