Residential School Settlements Linked to Funding Cuts to Aboriginal Organizations

Welcome Frank Busch to the show. He has been a previous guest to discuss the Pros and Cons of the Residential School Settlement since he works directly with the survivors in the settlement process. We are going to discuss the sweeping program cuts and how it is may be connected to the Residential School settlements. While this is just a theory that we are bringing up for discussion it is worth taking a serious look at the issue.

The Canadian Indian residential school system was intended to assimilate the children of the Aboriginal peoples in Canada into European-Canadian society.

Frank Busch is a university educated Aboriginal businessperson/entrepreneur. He hails from a remote First Nation in Northern Manitoba. He is a practitioner of the Traditional Aboriginal Spirituality. He currently works for Alghoul and Associates Law Firm as a Senior Manager in the Residential School Settlement Litigation. In this post and in his previous occupations, he has travelled to 56 of the 62 First Nations in Manitoba. Nationwide, he has visited approximately 200 First Nations and Metis communities.
