Welcome Diane Latiker, Founder of Kids Off The Block. It was founded in July 2003 in her home. Beginning with 10 kids from the neighborhood, KOB as it known, now serves hundreds of youth across the city of Chicago.

Kids Off The Block has made a commitment to the youth in our communities. We will guide you, respect you, care for you, love you, provide a safe place for you, build a relationship with you, listen to you and help you succeed.

Their mission is to provide at-risk low income youth positive alternatives to drugs, gangs, truancy, violence and the juvenile justice services.

The services include: Tutoring/Mentoring, Music, Drama, Sports, Community Service, Out of Town Travel, GED Preparation and Life Skills.

The have created a Memorial Tribute to the children who have died. Currently there are 376 stones and 75 behind it because they ran out of room. There are in the process of building a larger one. To donate go to:  http://kobchicago.org/donate/
