For hundreds of years the same topics have been discussed, the need for more fire prevention and public education. To this day, there is still a lot of talk and the reality is while a lot of programs are out there preventable fires still exist. What has not changed, with all the current programming in place, is the rate of deaths and devastating impact on society. Burn camps full of burned kids, thousands of people still dying every year, insurmountable property loss, not enough homes with working smoke alarms, the list goes on.
