Autism Spectrum Disorder affects 1 in every 68 children according to the CDC's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network. As a developmental disability, Autism can create social challenges in communication, behavior and one's ability to learn.

While signs of Autism may arise during early childhood, research results from the International Meeting for Autism Research for 2014 have showed that Autistic symptoms for adults living with the disorder decreased among 1/3 to half of more than 400 people over the course of 10 years starting in 1998.

Steven J. Siegel, MD, PhD

Dr. Steven Siegel is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Director of the Translational Neuroscience Program as well as the Director of the Clinical Neuroscience Track. With years of experience inr Neuopsychiatry, Dr. Siegel specializes in the treatment of Schizophrenia. At his laboratory, Dr. Siegel has developed new treatment methods for the multiple personality disorder using biodegradable long-term delivery systems. His treatment methods extend to Parkinson's Diseases as well as drug abuse and autism.
