Join Vanessa Halloum as she interviews psychotherapist Leslie Davenport on How To Cultivate Feminine Intuition with Guided Imagery.

Guided imagery is a method of heightening self-awareness to the subtle workings of our body/mind/emotions/spirit, which reveal themselves to us through images, and it shifts our feminine receptivity into the foreground. Imagery practice has ancient roots and is a very natural way of knowing ourselves and life.

But, it has been severely underutilized in our contemporary culture where the more masculine aspects of achievement, analysis, and organization are prized. While logic is necessary and valuable, when we fail to draw upon the full range of human capacity, it creates imbalance.

As a psychotherapist in practice for twenty years, Leslie Davenport understands the health impact of thoughts and emotions. Her passion for the mystery of the human spirit drew her to become an ordained interfaith minister in 1984.  Leslie has braided her expertise with body-mind-spirit into her book, Healing and Transformation Through Self Guided Imagery, released by Celestial Arts/Random House.

She is a founding member of the Institute for Health & Healing at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Her book and expert advice have appeared in a number of magazines including Family Circle, Natural Health, Great Health, Body + Soul, Shift and San Francisco Medicine.  A sought after speaker, she lectures in a broad range of setting including KRON Television, ABC 7 News, the National Wellness Conference, the Commonwealth Club, etc.
