Who would have believed that the richest country on earth (US) has the second to last highest child poverty rate among developing countries worldwide?  Yes, our beloved USA.

      *  22% of children in the U.S. live in families
          that are considered officially poor.

      *   Child poverty rates are highest among black, Latino, and American Indian children.

  • Across the states, official child poverty rates range from 11% in New Hampshire to 32% in Mississippi.

Join us on April 11, 2016 @ 6:30 p.m. when we begin a brand new series on child poverty, contributing factors, status of families across the Union, why some kids beat the odds and what constitutes real poverty.
