When Naomi Osaka upset tennis legend Serena Willaims at the 2018 US Open, much attention was given to the fact that despite her Japanese/Haitian background, reporters literally ignored the fact that her father was a Black man.  To her credit, Naomi consistently assures that that part of her bloodline is mentioned, and that she identifies with both  her parents, not only the Japanese side.

Today on the premier episode of "Face-to-Face" I talk with Yukido Kudo, a biracial woman whose mother is Japanese and father is African American, about growing up biracial in America and Japan, about Naomi Osaka, and the double-standard controversy at the US Open.

I'm Tony Regusters and this is "Face-to-Face" on Facebook.  Stay tuned...
