There are many questions, Pro and Con, about why Americans should vote.  Those questions are not along party lines as it seems that many Americans don't take the time to vote because of apathy.  The apathy follows racial, ethnic, gender and economic lines and the topics or reasons are varied.

FACAA wants to encourage its listeners to VOTE!  many groups fought for this right and many groups abroad are still trying to obtain this right.  On March 8, 2015 many Americans will flock to Selma Alabama to commemorate the struggles that were inherent in the Civil Rights years.  As Congress and the Supreme Court continues to minimize the features of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, it is becoming imperative that all people should at least clarify their reasons for not voting.

We cannot tell America what to do but we must do all we can to invigorate your thinking.  As you examine your own life-circumstances, you must decide if the things you are seeking require the legal support to assure that your personal rights are protected.  If there are problems you can see in society, and your rights are not being fully protected, you must decide if you will vote.

Elected officials may not pass the laws you wish to see if enough who feel like you do, don't vote.
