This will be a series for the month of March. Our Cohost today is Apostle Johnson, pastor of Purposed By God Outreach Ministry in Austin, Texas and also pastor of New Rock Lighthouse Ministries in Florence, Al.  So join us today and this month and lets talk about giving satan a boot out of our lives and get to God’s business.

As a believer we have been given the authority to speak and cause things to happen. However we must know the authority we have been given as Children of God and know how to walk in that authority. So how do we know we have been given power and authority?

Matthew 28:18-19 “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore…”. That power was given to you and I as part of our inheritance in Christ Jesus. We have entered into this position of authority because we are in Him.

Romans 8:29 tells us God predestined us to be conformed to the image of His Son. God sees you and I through the blood of the covenant. On the inside, we are the image of Jesus. As born-again believers, we have authority and we are in His image.

Jesus succeeded in securing all power by going to the cross, dying, rising again and defeating Satan in the pit of hell

He came to this earth as a man for one reason: to recapture the authority Satan had stolen through Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden.

After Jesus secured that power and authority, Jesus freely gave it over into the hands of those who would believe on Him—you and I.

We must know and understand this power we have been given. Our words are to be words of faith and God expects us to know our authority, speak with our authority, and walk in our authority. It is not enough for us to simply accept the wonderful work Jesus did at Calvary. We are held responsible for much more. God sees you in Christ, in His image.
