Anwar Jamison

Anwar Jamison is a Memphis-based filmmaker, writer and professor. A child prodigy, he began kindergarten at the age of 2 at Sister Clara Muhammad Preparatory School in his hometown of Racine, Wisconsin. At the age of 4, he attended John Robert Powers Acting School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was featured in several commercials. At 16, after graduating from J.I. Case High School in Racine, he enrolled at the University of Memphis and received a B.S. in English Writing from UW-Whitewater after transferring his junior year. Returning to Memphis after graduation, he went on to receive an M.A. in English and an M.A. in Film & Video Production from the University of Memphis.
