Kathy Shimpock

Kathy Shimpock is a transpersonal practitioner. Her company, Symbols of Soul, helps clients discover and explore their own inner wisdom. They learn to interpret and understand the language of spirit, that is, those messages which show up in daily life as metaphors, symbols, images and synchronicities. Kathy believes that all the answers that you seek are within you. With these answers, you will find your own life’s purpose and begin to live more authentically. Kathy came to the holistic field by way of a career in law, working as a lawyer and as a law librarian in both the academic and private sectors. In 2008, Kathy became interested in learning hypnosis as a means of dealing with her chronic pain. Since then, she has become a certified clinical hypnotherapist, a Reiki Master Teacher, storyteller, ordained minister, and a certified spiritual guidance mentor (specializing in spiritual direction through the use of spiritual practice). She also provides workshops to groups and retreat centers on spiritual topics and the use of expressive arts to assist in psychological and spiritual growth. Kathy is also an artist and an approved facilitator for SoulCollage®, a creative process for personal and spiritual growth and development, based on the work of Seena Frost. Along with her lifelong pursuit of art, she has a deep interest in transpersonal studies including self-actualization, mythology and Jungian psychology. Her artistic pursuits focus on the creation of custom mandalas and myths, and on spiritual art.
