If you are a person of color, a young person, a person living in a "depressed" area of any age, your right to vote is being erroded.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of federal legislation in the United States that prohibits racial discrimination in voting.

Section 5 of the VRA requires certain states and local governments to obtain federal preclearance before implementing any changes to their voting laws or practices.

Section 4(b), contains the coverage formula that determines which jurisdictions/states are subjected to preclearance based on their histories of discrimination in voting.

On June 25, 2013, in the case Shelby County v. Holder, the Supreme Court ruled by a 5-to-4 vote that Section 4(b) is unconstitutional. That had the effect of making the VRA impotent against the very states and jurisdictions that are still committing vioaltions against people's Constitutional right to vote.

This show is all about Get Out The Vote and REGISTER to Vote.

This is betond important. This year's election outcome will determine if we still have a Democracy, if we are still a Democratic Republic, with a Constitutional Democracy.
