Warrior/Survivor Teresa Cunningham

 Teresa Cunningham, survivor of sexually abuse from age 2 to 17 and victim of a kiddy ring from ages 6 to 9. Her predators were her father and the men on his side of the family. Teresa's the author of a new book "Never A Child" which is the story of her life of abuse from early childhood through her late teen years, and of how it impacted her adulthood decisions. She turned in her father at 17 but, she writes, ".. he got a slap on the wrist." Teresa speaks of how the law system failed her as well as society, explaining, "I grew into adulthood with many demons walking on a very destructive path for myself and those around me." After considerable suffering, she eventually found God, "..and through Him I found peace with my past. He healed me fully from all the scars that were put on me. And now that I have come full circle in my healing." She goes on, "I want victims to see that there is true healing and there is life to be lived to the fullest after abuse." Teresa continues, "I was led to the healing path by befriending many who helped me change from what I was to who I am now. I have come full circle with my healing." She concludes, "My goal with my story is to reach those that are still in the darkness of abuse to let them know that it is okay to come out .. that there can be life lived to the fullest from love to laughter, to how do deal with anger, and how to forgive to letting go .. to live full functional life away from all the pain."
