Thanks for being here with us on "It Can't Just Be Me.."Tonight we'll go through a list of issues that need to be addressed. The first is a report from Equal Justice Initiative on "Black Jury Candidates and Bias." The "Illegal Race Discrimination in Jury Selection: A Continuing Legacy," report details the systematic exclusion of black jurors from Southern juries. Findings in the 61-page report were gleaned largely from jury selection transcripts and through interviews with prosecutors, excluded eligible jurors and others. They reflect what investigators say continue to be wide-ranging, race-driven infractions in jury selection throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. We'll also discuss Arthur Davis and his lesson before dying as his race to become the first Black governor of Alabama, came to a solid stop. Davis was crushed in the polls and I'll show/tell you exactly what happened and what Davis learned that some of us knew already. Great night a head on "It Can't Just Be Me.." We'll take your calls, inputs, and views. Peace
