What role has the media played in exploiting our black sistas?

For as long as we can remember the black wombman has been depicted as being “less than” the average man or “not good enough” for praise or respect  or "not pretty enough" to be admired for our beauty meanwhile other races of women are put on a pedestal and praised for the very same features, behaviors or mindsets of our black sistas.

We can pretty much agree that any form of media or entertainment whether it be tv, film, music or even the sex industry has portrayed the black woman in a negative way.

We seem to only be good for roles depicting us as whores, crackheads, single baby mommas, ratchets or seductress. And we seem to only go far in the music industry as long as we are being used as sexual objects rather we are a artist, dancer or model. The saying is real though when they said “Do something strange for a lil piece of change” OKAAAY!

So how is the youth going to grow up with morals, manners and common sense if what they see all around them, especially in the media, that black women are (for a lack of better words) nothing but “hoes and tricks” who enjoy being the sexual fantasy of a man's eyes.

Tonight, lets talk about solutions on how we are going to get rid of these stereotypical negative ideas and images about the black woman and instead reinforce the love we all have for the black female by introducing them to the what a real Queen consist of.
