Today, Duane & Rachel are taking a break, so for only the third time in our 20 months on the air, we are doing a repeat show. But it's a GREAT one!
We have Kansas City history at its best! We visited with author and historian, Frank R. Hayde! Mr Hayde is author of "The Mafia & The Machine" about the relationship between Kansas City Machine Boss, Tom Pendergast, Mafia Boss Joe Lazia and the role their relationship played in the burgeoning Kansas City Jazz scene in the early 20th Century. He also authored the book, "Italian Gardens: A History of Kansas City Through its Favorite Restaurant" about the DiCapo and extended families, and their unique place in KC history.
