Today's show features two people in Kansas City who think big and act big when it comes to raising money for worthy causes. In both cases, healthcare is part of the equation, but otherwise, they could not be more different.
First we will talk to Dr. Tim Williamson, a pulmonary intensive care physician and faculty member at the University of Kansas Hospital and Medical Center. He has created a great cause to help special needs kids in Kenya - the Acacia  Fund - that will have a gala fundraiser at Livestrong Park on Oct 13.
Then we will visit with our own Stacey Lukas, who is part of the committee that creates one of KC's most remarkable fundraising parties each year, "Bloom" on behalf of the KC Free Health Clinic. She will tell us about the work behind the scenes needed to pull of such an event.

You'll want to tune in for Stacey's "gal about town" review and the inside scoop and quick trip for this week.

All on Everyday KC!
