During this episode of Strong Lives, Dr. Trevicia Williams has a conversation with a woman who grew up in an abusive home. She is the daughter of 2 drug addicted parents and grew up in a household with a father whose way of resolving conflict between he and her mother was to use his fist.  More often than not, she and her sisters were left to fend for themselves which led to her starting her own business at 14 years old.  At the same time, she was an A+ student who also worked for the federal government.  She did exactly what she was told that would lead her to the "American Dream," went to college, earned 6 degrees, and got a "good job."  She was never told by all of the Entrepreneur's in her family that business ownership was a viable option.  After completing her Masters degree with a 4.0 and not being able to obtain employment because she was "overqualified" she decided to create jobs as opposed to searching for one.  This was the start of her first company.
