Award winning musician Samuel Claiborne will be interviewed by Dr. Sally Witt today! His musical journey is both successful and, in many ways, miraculous given the fact that several years ago he suffered a tragic auto accident that left him quadriplegic. He had no idea whether or not he would ever recover the use of his limbs, but his faith in alternative healing modalities and his deep relationship with music helped him to regain use of all limbs. Samuel Claiborne, founder of the Sonotrope recording label, has recently received a grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts. The composer whose CD credits include Avant Garde duo Loons in the Monastery’s “Stranger Than Truth” and “The Annunciation” was awarded unrestricted funds in the amount of $7000 which he will use to compose more music.
