Beware of the Deceiving Power of the Empirical Lie! (Gibeonite Deception)

We are enjoined by God to walk by faith, and not by sight.  Faith is not a leap in the dark, and nor is it a silly unfounded assumption.  Faith is founded upon divine revelation.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.  God has provided for us the Scriptures which teach us the importance of trusting Him.  When we do not walk by faith, the enemy can and will deceive us.  We cannot depend upon our own understanding while we are in the devil's world.
