Bullies. We all grew up with them. Some just kept their tactics low-grade, doing things like teasing or playing practical jokes. Others took it way too far and used physical and emotional abuse to manipulate their prey.

Today, children are still dealing with bullies, and what's worse is that the playing field has gotten much larger and much more lethal. Just last fall, two Florida girls, ages 12 and 14, were arrested for allegedly bullying another 12-year-old girl until she eventually committed suicide by plunging to her death off the side of a building.

Parents, Educators, Law Enforcement - they're all looking for answers to stem the tide of this disturbing trend, especially now that it has found a home online where the bullie(s) can operate "under the radar" for quite a while without being caught or held accountable. It has become glaringly apparent that since children are the main targets, they should be armed with offensive skills that are useful for dismantling this current culture of bullying and bystanding.
