Dr. Jeanette welcomes Gloria J. Yorke, author of MEDICAL MANSLAUGHTER: Will Your Doctor Cause YOUR DEATH? to talk about her experience while caring for her husband.

Gloria was the advocate for her husband and even though she spoke up and called out the treatments he was receiving, he still had medical complications that could have been avoided. It all started with a sleeping pill in the hospital that was to never have been given to him.

Healthcare is to support us in a crisis but what happens when the path goes awry? Who is right in our personal healthcare services; the doctor, the patient or the caregivers? Who is wrong when problems arise; the doctor, the patient or the caregivers?

Do you just drop off your loved ones and let the system take care of them and not ask questions? Is caregiving just too much for you to handle and wish to push it off to nursing homes, hospice or hospital care for your loved ones?

Who is your advocate when you cannot speak, have been given medications that alter your consciousness or can see and sense things might not be right when you are just focused on being present or out of pain? Who is your advocate?

Do you have an advocate? Perhaps you can find one to just ask questions, receive some guidance or have around as a second pair of eyes.
