Our discussion will explore the depth of despair one experiences due to the uncertainties of life from a person's employment to health. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew concerning worrying about tomorrow, "Our Heavenly Father knows that you need these things (what shall we eat, what shall we drink and what shall we wear). But, seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, then all these things shall be added to you. We should remember as we go through; whose hands we are in, our Heavenly Father. Who tells us in his Word, "We are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us". We will not only discuss this in length but what Peter shares with us about God's promise in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us. We may face the uncertainties in life but we do have the promise of God. We may face loss, the betrayal of friends or friends who just aren't there; or sometimes even family; and it may seem like everything in life is up in the air but the constant and steady that will never leave us nor forsake us, is God. I am doing more than just quoting scripture. It is something I have lived and am still and going through and I am grateful for that one steady constant which never changes and that is God's promise. This is what I want to share with you in tomorrow's discussion.
