Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Prodigal Son only had 4 choices to escape poverty. 1=Crime, 2=School, 3=Sports, 4=Music, Prodigal decided to take all 4 avenues. While in high school Prodigal formed an R&B group that opened for a host of artist such as Levert, Rude Boyz, Men at Large, The O’Jays and M.C. Hammer. At the height of Prodigal’s career he was sentenced to 1 year in a juvenile corrections facility and 1 year in an adult prison where he perfected his musical gift.
Prodigal Son has formed his own recording label “HOLY-wood Records” which has released 5 albums nominated for 1 Stellar Award and his (2) latest cd projects KINGDOM SWAGGA-NOMICS "THE NEW ERA" Landed at #21 on Billlboard gospel album charts the week of August 21, 2010 & his compilation cd WELCOME 2 HOLY-wood (April 26, 2011) Debuted on Gospel Billboard week of May 7 at #28.
