Cops: The Blue Kaleidoscope

Being a police officer is a challenging, dangerous, rewarding and often thankless calling. Officer’s put their lives on the line everyday that they suit up for the job. Although most of them do not walk around consciously wondering “Will I make it home from my shift tonight?”, it is their major objective while on duty. All the split second decisions that they often have to make are pressed againt their overall objective of staying alive and the civil liberties of citizens.  But, what happens when SOME officers disregard the civil liberties and humanity of the citizens they police? Why does this happen? Is it due to lack of training…lack of apathy…lack of judgement…or what? We will discuss this and the difficulties officer face on the job with our guest.
