Meet Pete Bethune, Captain of the Earthrace Conservation Org. biodiesel-powered Trimaran. The first  100% bio diesel powerboat to circle the globe. Bethune took his boat on a mission to Antarctica to stop the whalers from killing whales in the Southern Ocean Sanctuary. Spent 6 months in jail in Japan after boarding a Japanese whaling ship the "Shonan Maru" after his beloved boat the "Ady Gil" was rammed and sunk by same.  Activist Extraordinaire as seen in the last clips of "Blackfish". Bethune also a writer, his book "Whale Warrior" depicts his accounts of circumnavigating the globe and his experience aboard the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society the "Steve Irwin".  Bethune has also visited the Faroes Island in a quest to speak to the locals to also stop their "Grindatrap" of pilot whales.

Fast forward and check out his latest missions as he stars on his own television series, "The Operatives" on PIVOT channel. Bethune and his team of "operatives" head out on a black ops mission to stop poachers illegal fishing in Costa Rica's sanctuaries and sea turtle egg poachers and much more. He now is gettin gready to head out to Asia on another season of 'The Operatives!
