-Born and raised in Amsterdam in The Netherlands, then moved to London, England. Llived and trained in Malaysia for 8 years, then moved from Malaysia to Glasgow in Scotland in 2012 to teach Silat Ikhtiar
 
Martial arts:
-Fencing, boxing and wrestling, Silat,
-Dabbled in several martial arts, too many to mention.
-Ballistic weapons: guns, rifles, archery, blowpipe.
-Silat Cekak Malaysia, Silat Ikhtiar Malaysia (the martial art of my wife's family)
 
Teaching:
-Silat Ikhtiar Malaysia, Bela Diri curriculum (not at the moment). Bierkaai curriculum which is included in the Nicolaes Petter book
 
-Training and learning the many Bekkesnijders techniques and strategies that I've been documenting while compiling the book on that phenomenon.
