The happy healthcare host, Mr. Divabetic shines the spotlight on the people behind one of the most innovative diabetes educational programs, Divabetic - Makeover Your Diabetes with inspiration from Barbra Streisand during National Diabetes Awareness Month.

From the moment she burst on the Hollywood scene in "Funny Girl", winking as she uttered the immortal “Hello, gorgeous” to her mirror image, until the release of her newest album, "Partners", there was and has been no one quite like Barbra Streisand.

She is a diva, a superstar, a sensation. Since the 1960s, she has won more varied awards (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, special Tony, Golden Globe, CableACE, Peabody) than anyone else in show business, and has sold over sixty-eight million records, more records than any other female singer. She is timeless, enduring, phenomenal. She has triumphed as herself in a town that thrives on make-believe, and she has done it all without mirrors.

Divabetic is claiming 'diva' status and taking a look back at it's most succesful outreach program, Divabetic - Makeover Your Diabetes.  This free program was presented in 9 major cities (New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Miami, Cleveland, Washington, DC, New Orleans, Atlanta and Los Angeles from 2006 to 2009. The program promoted a ‘diva’s bold & sassy attitude’ as way to safeguard women and their families against complications related to diabetes.

With an unique mix of free beauty and fashion services, music and interactive diabetes education in a fun, comfortable setting, the program broaden the appeal of diabetes educational outreach for women and their loved ones.

Barbra Streisand's latest No. 1 album, “Partners” made history. She’s the first artist to have a No. 1 album in each of the past six decades. We will be playing songs from “Partners” courtesy of SONY MUSIC.
