Ivanna Reaves is a Paterson, New Jersey native and aspiring local poet. Writing has given her the courage to speak she instated, having done performances sharing her work previously. Currently, Ivanna is working on a book of poems she hopes will inspire people to see the world in a different and more peaceful aspect.

Simrin Speaks is an artist, poet, and inspirational speaker. Through her art, she seeks to inspire positivity in the world and to serve as a counter balance to the tragedies that have become such a common part of our lives. Simrin is an accomplished athlete as well as a dedicated scholar. For three seasons, she has run with Girls on the Run, already completing three 5K races. She holds a red belt in karate, finding in martial arts a channel for her surplus energy and a means to finding greater presence within herself.

Carlton Walker currently resides in Maryland. He enjoys reading and music an avid tennis fan. He began writing poetry in 2001 and has published three books to date.

Briant L Brown, originally from South Carolina. He resides in New York City and has been here for 10 years. He published his first book, "She Gave Birth not Life," and working on a second book. Poetry and writing has been a blessing in his life and hopes to inspire others with his work

Alexis, 28 yrs old and a Bridgeport CT native, started writing at the age of 12 and it's been a beautiful relationship thus far. She never knew what poetry what later mean to her or where it would take her but Poetry has became her 1st passion. Her inspiration comes from life experiences as well as friends and family's experiences. She is so passionate about her poetry that she keeps a pen and notebook under her pillow for times of sudden inspiration. To her, poetry is her essence, her energy and she thanks God for her gift every day. Publishing her book is a dream come true and she plans to publish many more.
