Professor Brown will be speaking about the upcoming Supreme Court case which will go before the high court December 9th Fisher v University of Texas. Fisher v University of Texas is about the use of race in admissions decisions by the University of Texas at Austin. The decision could have grave impacts on affirmative action here in the United States. Professor Brown will also be talking about a group of people called the untouchables out of India.The untouchables are the lowest rung of the caste system in India and are predominately black and are ostracised from the mainstream population. Professor Brown will also be discussing the global impact of the struggle of black people and how the rest of the world is inspired by our struggle.
