"Twenty-eight year-old rapper/songwriter, Jones, grew up in a musical family just outside of Los Angeles in Panorama City. At the age of seven he followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and learned to play the piano. He performed in various recitals and home performances often reciting the lyrics from his favorite artists for family and friends. Though he loved to perform the works of his musical idols he always felt he had words of his own he wanted to share with the world. Jones has spent the past three years pursuing a degree in journalism and dodging the family pressures to establish a career in what his family considered a “practical” profession before taking a hiatus from school. It was recently that Jones fully realized his passion and masterfully assembled a collection of songs that reveal his musical finesse and presence: Books vs Beats."
