With this month being "Black History Month," we realize that there is always a specific narrative that America always tells. Every year we hear about Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks etc. While we are proud of these great individuals we also know our history goes further back. Our history proves that we created mathematics, science, language, medicine, astrology etc. Yet every year we never hear about these stories. Stories about how the Moors civilized Europe and invaded Spain and ruled for hundreds of years. The fact that we created empires and kingdoms throughout the world. "The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history."
