 About Hallie 

 

Hallie Addington is the mom of one child, Avery.  Avery was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2009 just after turning 3 years old.  Hallie is a kindergarten teacher and a board member for JDRF's Southwest Ohio Chapter.  Hallie, Jason, and Avery participate in many awareness and fundraising events such at JDRF's Walk to Cure and annual Gala.  Hallie is also a JDRF Advcoate and has lobbied members of Congress in Washington and at home to increase funding and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes.  Hallie writes candidly about her family's experiences living and loving - with type 1 diabetes along for the ride - at The Princess and The Pump (www.theprincessandthepump.com).
