Abortion Manadate Discussion from last night with my special guest Pamela McMillion who is the Nurse Premier Association: Our organization was started by a Registered Nurse named Pamela McMillion, RN, BSN. She identified a gap in services for what Senator Byrd labeled as the “other West Virginia’s” back in 1965. Senator Byrd focused on the War on Proverty. Ms McMillion is continuing this mission and is expanding the focus to include health care. She has taken her personal time to be active in the local, State and Federal levels to further gain understanding on how she can better position her group to help fill the gaps identified. She has attended Health Care reform meeting, she was Unity day Chair 2009 with the West Virginia Nurses Association which was part of a forum with key legislators participating on health care issues and reform. She has communicated with her State Nurses Association and American Nurses Association which are aware of the concerns that have been identified but as of date no solutions. She has been actively securing support from various groups by participating with on line communities.
