TOPIC: The WOW's of Self-Employment

Monica is a single-parent with a now 15 year old son who lives with a complex mental illness. The demands of her son's disorder, including a number of years being home-schooled, Monica was unable to hold full time work in a regular place of business. Self-employment was her only alternative outside of social assistance.
With her background and education in Marketing and Advertising, Monica started a business that she could do from home and look after her son's health challenges. Despite the up's and down's of self employment and  a downturn in the economy, Monica's business has grown and evolved so that every day is full of WOW! Two years ago, she enrolled in the six month IBDE online Web Essentials program thru Selkirk College and received her diploma in Web design and optimization. This was a major WOW for Gail-Force Marketing and her business has taken off with her specialty niche of Website content management and social media administration and coaching.
