Jesus appeared to Sr Mary Martha Chambon (March 6, 1841 – March 21, 1907) making this promise, "The Holy Crown is for the faithful soul a source of merit.. [it] will merit for you a crown of glory... A single soul performing her actions in union with the merits of My Holy Crown may gain more than many others."

Sr Mary Martha Chambon received her first vision of Jesus when she was nine years old while attending Good Friday Services in the parish church of Lémenc.  She related that Jesus appeared to her crucified and covered with wounds and blood.

Later that year, Sr. Mary Martha received her first Holy Communion.  At that event, she saw the baby Jesus, who told her, "Child, my favorite, so it will be every time you go to Holy Communion."  That being said, Jesus says that to all who receive him in the Eucharist in the State of Grace!

In 1866 after joining a convent at age 21 (Monastery of the Visitation Order in Chambéry), her mother superior maintained a chronicle of Sr. Mary Martha's life that was published in 1923.  In 1924 the Vatican granted an indulgence to anyone who honored Jesus wounds coming from her visions.
