  • Ken Billinger grew up in the small town of Victoria, Kansas, home of the Cathedral of the Plains - now the Basilica of St. Fidelis. He graduated from Victoria High School and attended nearby Fort Hays State University.  Ken has been married to his beautiful wife Patty for 36 years.  They have one son, Blaine who died in 2011. Ken has been a cradle Catholic, but didn't practice his faith for many years before returning to the Church in 2003.  He absolutely loves his Catholic faith and has been active in his parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector and has also participated in Christ Renews His Parish, Men of Ascension and Fathers of St. Joseph.  In September of 2018, he and his wife Patty began Project Chrysalis, a ministry to help parents who have lost a child.  Ken is  currently in formation for the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. God willing, he will be ordained in June of 2020.
  • One of Ken's passions is to speak to groups and conduct parish missions.  A variety of topics are covered from basic Catholicism to the Mass, Confession, and the Eucharist.  In addition, he discusses the importance of fatherhood and the male role as the spiritual head of the home.  Ken shares the story of losing a son and how faith, family and the church community helped he and his wife Patty to remain strong through such a difficult time. Stories on his experience with prison ministry and the homeless ministry are also shared with select audiences.  For more information, to book a talk for your group or parish, or to contact Ken for Catholic radio host opportunities, simply use the "drop us a line" button at the bottom of the page and you will be contacted within 24 hours.
